The Sports and Concert/Entertainment Complex “VTB Arena – Central Stadium “Dynamo” named after Lev Yashin will be equipped with an innovative vacuum waste disposal system. It will include two stations fully automated at all stages starting from loading and temporary keeping to transportation and compaction. The Complex will become the first sports facility in Russia equipped with such a system.
The vacuum waste disposal system will allow us to centralize waste collection and remove food and solid waste from the facility. Horizontal and vertical system pipelines with loading hatches will be located at all levels of the facility. The pipelines will transport waste inside the building to receiving containers with compactors. All stages of transportation inside the system are automatic and controlled from the control room. The capacity of the system is 11,000 cubic meters annually.
Such innovative infrastructure will allow us to spare the manpower avoiding manual waste transportation and additional waste storage areas. This technology allows us to save up to 200 square meters of space in total. Thanks to compaction technology the waste will be removed from the facility once a day. Additionally, the vacuum waste disposal system provides operational cost savings up to 30%, absence of any odors, pests, insects or leakage.
“Our stadium is the first sports facility in Russia where such system will be utilized. The equipment is supplied by a Finnish company MariMatic which, in our opinion, is a leading manufacturer of such equipment. As a result, we will have a reliable and modern waste disposal system able to solve several tasks at once,” said Alexander Stepanchenko, Technical Director of JSC “Bureau Veritas Rus”.
